>>>_ James Castle and his parents are running furiously down a hallway inside the main building of Castle Research Institute: with James' robot friend CHIP floating close by. Gunshots fired in the background. Mercenaries of unknown origin had invaded the building. But something far more sinister was hot on the tail of all four of them.
"Are we going to make it out alive?"James said shakily..
"Just keep running! We can make it if we reach the back exit of the building in time." James' father, Frank, said urging everyone to duck around a nearby corner.
James' father stayed behind a bit to fire a couple of shots from an energy blaster he was carrying with him. Suddenly, without warning however, a shadowy figure rounded around the corner and towered over Frank.
"Go! Get out of here!" He said to James, Chip, and his wife in order to fend off the shadowy figure. But in a flash Frank's neck was twisted and his body mangled by seemingly some unseen force. James and the other two stood in horror as they watched the life go out in Frank's eyes. After admiring it's handiwork for a small time, the figure turned it's attention away from it's kill to the small group standing before it.
"We need to keep moving! Come on!" James' mother said as she pulled a terrified James further down the Hallway. The three of them rushed along the long and winding halls of the building as fast as they could.
But not too long after, James' mother tripped and fell on some cables that were left on the ground.
"GO! KEEP GOING! GET TO THE EXIT!" She screamed as she too was twisted and mangled by the figure.
"Come on James! Now's not the time to panic!" Chip says tugging desperately at his shoulder.
The two of them kept running, dodging down hallways and avoiding obstacles as best as the two of them possibly could. But alas, they found themselves cornered in a closet with no where else to go.
"Now I've caught you." the figure said. "You are mine."
CHIP and James cowered into the closet as the figure slowly approached both of them.
"Now would be a really good time to get us out of here James!" Chip said with a worried tone. James however was paralyzed. His heart raced as he saw the figure approach. He was almost certain his fate was going to be the same as his parents.
CHIP saw this and immediately floated in front of James' face.
"James! Snap out of it! Teleport us out of here! NOW!" CHIP shouted.
James gives CHIP a hurried and frantic nod before tightly closing his eyes. within a second, a portal opens up from behind them, leading to some place outside, such as a parking lot.
"Wait! NO!" The figure shouted after the two of them. Both scrambled as fast as they could out the portal. "DAMN YOU! GET BACK HERE!"
James immediately closed the portal off and collapsed. the sound of distant gunshots seems to be waning. Law enforcement could be heard closing in on the building in the distance. James and CHIP were all alone now and thus, James broke down sobbing.
